Programing Gm# 15252034

The National, Classifieds, "Studio", 22.02.2011r.

American group The National opromieniona commercially successful album, "High Violet" for the third time visiting our country. After a highly acclaimed performances at Off Festival and the Festival of Chamber Music "Ars Cameralis" came the two club gigs. One of them took place in Krakow club "Studio" set of attracting audiences, which is not surprising considering that the brand "The National" is becoming more recognizable in the world. But before

"sad men in suits" Krakow warmed up the audience on the stage appeared The New York Sharon Van Etten songwriterka. Her pięćdziesięciominutowy set composed primarily of love songs for complications was very warmly received by audiences. On stage, except for the first and last piece was accompanied by her drummer Ben Lord and bassist Doug Keith. Simple songs based on an electric guitar so able to arouse the interest that each successive number enthusiasm of the audience grew and gradually disappearing noises coming from the room. Heat adopted the "Do not Do It", although the largest uproar occurred when the scene appeared Aaron Dessner from The National. He enriched the music of Sharon in two compositions by pulling the bow over the strings of his guitar like Jonsi from Sigur Ros. Sharon enchanting natural beauty and charm reminiscent of Karen O from the other New York warehouse - Yeah Yeah Yeahs. During breaks between songs a lot of joking and bantered with the audience. And one of the played songs dedicated to his mother, who is a big fan of Fleetwood Mac.

Finally, around 21.30 in the blinding spotlight (violet color) to the stage The National musicians came and kidnapped the audience literally from the first bars of "Runaway." Then they played "Anyone's Ghost," "Mistaken For Stranger" and "Brainy". And so for the rest of the concert were to intersperse songs from the last two albums ("Boxer" and "High Violet"), with rare excursions into the past ("Wasp Nest," "Lit Up," "Abel" and "Mr.. November") . Of course, enjoyed the most successful compositions from his latest album, which was not until ten (missing only the "Little Faith "), causing an enthusiastic reaction among the audience. The band's sound definitely has taken effect and the concert "claw." It also reinforced a horn section, through the trumpet and trombone. Drew attention to revised arrangements of some of the composition. Audible even in the "Conversation 16", where the parties put forward the keys to the fore.

team leader Matt Berninger, who owns an extremely baritone accepting the greater part of the show drinking wine while preparing to play his company, which is walking with the microphone by the public. The first sample showed its capabilities during the "Squalor Victoria", when he descended from the stage and ran between the rails and then explaining that he sought the bar. Some time later, "Abel," sang the already standing in the barriers. However, all this was only a prelude to what was to come during the encore. During Mr. November "Matt not only jumped the rails and I walked to the microphone in the audience, but also climbed to the balcony, where he was part of the audience did not interrupt the singing and the intense reliving consecutive sentences of text.

It was not the only magical moment of this concert. There were at least a couple. You will remember for a long sung together with Sharon Van Etten "Terrible Love" and sung a capella with the audience, "Vanderlye Crybaby Geeks." A nice gesture was also a dedication to "You Were a Kindness" mentioned by name resident of Krakow, who once helped the team in need. The phone is also stuck in my moment when Matt threw a cup of wine with a dais splattering its contents in different page.

The National Krakow concert also confirmed me in the belief that the success of the album "High Violet" was not accidental. These songs live and they sound sensational, it seems that the team is at a turning point in his career, which leads directly to the stadiums.

Chlamydia From Oral Receiving

estimate: Iron and Wine - Kiss Each Other Clean

It is rare that one album artists create a small review of the species, including in the context of historical overview. Modern CD or link to one of the era, often one artist or trend currently prevailing. Or, although it happens less and less - setting new music tracks. The new album Iron and Wine - Kiss Each Other Clean does not specify the new path, but it is on record of what the folk best. If

album "Kiss Each Other Clean" took the form of a book - it would be a rather large dose of information about the history of folk music. Sam Beam reaches the roots already in the early years of 1960 - the American country-folk, somewhere zawadzając of The Shadows, following the path of Simon and Garfunkel, The Beatles, especially Harrison, guided more by Neil Young, to more contemporary, like Damien Rice, Joanna Newsom, ending with the Fleet Foxes. It is hard to accuse Beam of widespread use of any of them, so I called the board a review of country music-folk. "Kiss Each Other Clean" is above all a beautiful song. Full of peace, harmony, wisdom and cost. There will be no surprise that the dominant acoustic guitar, lazy, flowing gently like a harp in "Godless Brother In Love" (such as reaching for Joanna Newsom), and sometimes more alive, in "Glad Man Singing" (Somewhere in the middle of the audible echo of "The Bends" Radiohead).

Best supplement capsule folk are trumpets, saxophones and complete as a few strings. They give the album another face - jazz, funk, even at times - "Big Hand Burned." The essence of funk-jazz album is the last jump, 7-minute "Your Fake Name Is Good Enough For Me", hailed by some as the song years before. Extreme departure from what he does simply Beam. The first half is quite jazzy jungle, a mixture of saxophones, trumpets and funky accessories. For this luscious bass, excellent drums, and after one and a half minutes there is a strong electric guitar. When all the spin with a maximum intensity of the components listed above, after two and a half minutes following a moment of relaxation and is Beam, which repeats Become, Become, is a guitar and drums. For nearly five minutes Beam repeats Become a guitar and drums surrounds us with the consequence of a swarm of mosquitoes. The result is that after 6 minutes, I can not hear it anymore. A pity, because the fantastic, the first part although it could be extended to 4 minutes ... Another departure from the pop roots "Walking Far From Home", a reference to Wilco. So unusual CD begins and ends so unusual. Maybe not by coincidence.

Iron & Wine for sure that it is no longer strictly a folk band, as it once was. Can not be called "Kiss Each Other Clean" breakthrough, because as I said, it is more a historical feature. What's the most comforting - on the album are simply great, unobtrusive songs, most of the simpler pieces, with several more complex. All the songs of life combines the wisdom contained in the texts, a certain nostalgia and longing. Great fall chorus ("Tree By The River"). Very interesting sound Jamaican and African accretions, elements of dub and reggae. If we add everything reasonable in terms of length album - it remains for me nothing more than a five-deserved draw, what I am doing.

Anime Uncensored Mediafire

estimate: Cut Copy - Zonoscope

pleased to present, who knows - maybe even one of the candidates for album of the year. The work of the Australian quartet composed of Dan Whitford, Tim Hoey, Mitchell Scott Dean, Ben Browning. This is their third album, Zonoscope, which confirms the status of one of the most consistent contemporary groups.

Zonoscope has more than 60 minutes and 11 songs, but do not panic - this is not progressive, pulsing techno, only a very intelligent, sometimes abutteth elektrodance pop. In these 60 plus minutes is made up of more than 15 minutes suite Sun God, in which we find the essence of the entire album, that is: a lot of positive dance, a little punk alternative, a pinch of trance and all links to the best of synthpopie synths, beats, samples. A lot of these here almost metallic, about neworderowskich or depechemodowskich patches, which complement the live instruments in proportions roughly 50%, but sometimes we have to dealing with a "clean" playing - for example, Alisia, the number ocierającym about punkrock, with a predominance of rock. Dan and Tim, who plays the guitar using them - you have to admit - very cleverly, and how you can przybrudzić, clean instrumentation. Here, I think Yo La Tengo and guitar madness, Cut Copy, although far short of breaking the neck. Cut Copy can also be a "romantic and warm" in a plastic envelope sonically, as evidenced by Hanging Onto Every Heartbeat. The Take Me Over the close to its wording, Kylie Minogue and her flagship hits from the 80's. Anyway Zonoscope is another example of reaching for a wave of new-wave and synthpop, which date mostly from the 80th. Pharaos Pyramids and it is again an example excel in today's electronica artists, especially Hot Chip. Cut Copy is trying to actually look like in the song Blink, And You'll Miss A Revolution, the style of the vocals of Alexis Taylor, and the whole is a little pulled from Ready For The Floor, but the piece and so the weapons. At times the album is close to techno, but never comes close to a narcotic intoxication, allowing the listener to relax rather than to intoxicate.

I have major reservations about the whole, live instruments can be heard well, hinting that Cut Copy would cope without the synthesizers, even before a more demanding audience. Australians are easy to create good, maybe not groundbreaking - but definitely catchy melodies. You can listen to their songs, but you can also have fun with them. It is a compromise between the strict wording of the dance, synthpop and electronic alternative. Hot Chip have really worthy competitors. Off Festival? Fits like a find. Arthur ...

Spartan Helmet Schematics

Bloodgroup, Krakow Club "RE", 2.02.2011r.

Off During last year's Festival performance impressed me four Icelanders with FM Belfast play dance electronics, of which one could say that would put his feet up dead. And no coincidence that I mention in the context of FM Belfast Bloodgroup since the two bands originate from the same music scene and, despite some differences, obviously they share a large amount of energy we can muster, and the people who came to the concert.

Bloodgroup performance in a small basement room at the club tightly Re loaded mainly as people remember the show with an unusual energy instruments (keytary, synths, pads, flute, keyboard, drum machine) and a large dose of music with the same rushed to his feet to dance. They began, however, very quietly from the delicate sounds of "Wars", because even though they play dance music, in their work but you can find a lot of nostalgia, which is characteristic of most artists from Iceland. It is not surprising that half hour show is set in Krakow was a series of rapid, energetic numbers, each followed by a moment reflection at the beautiful przytulańcach, such as rozpisanym for two voices "My Arms." Implementation of the first number was preceded by a longer statement Janus Rasmussen, who thanked for the warm welcome during his first visit in our country and expressed his delight at the beauty of Polish women, spirits and a delicious chocolate bars prince polo. Then one of the brothers Jonsson - instrumentalists, the band has performed his improvisations dedicated to our batonikom.

Porisdottir Sunna - singer Bloodgroup and admired the beauty of punk form of expression. Besides singing also seized after the second keytar, a slower moments, romantic sound of the band complement flute keyboard. However, the first violin on stage led Janus Rasmussen, who not only sang and konwersował with the audience, but also operate the various knobs and hit the blue glowing sticks in the drum machine, and during the encore kapitalnego also encouraged the audience to share their names in the common cry (" Bob is probably not the Polish name, "- said that I heard someone in the crowd dignity).

Bis as the beginning of the performance began very quietly from the Sunnah wyśpiewanego title track, "Dry Land" with their last album. He then seamlessly passed to their own interpretation of the hit '80s group Canadian Man Without Hats The Safety Dance. " In their version of the song has gained even more power (the text goes like this: "I say, we can dance, we can dance everything out of control") and was a beautiful culmination of an already tight energy concert. The audience reacted to the appropriate uproar and remained so until the very end of the encore. Then the four musicians went straight into the audience (due to lack of choice) while encouraging buying CDs and share their experiences with a specially prepared table next to the entrance hall. In the lobby you could hear that maybe during the holidays we'll see them again, because I got a call from one of the Polish festivals. It would be great if it was confirmed, because a larger group of people could find out how they can capture a crowd of friendly Icelanders.

Can I Use My Yoga Mat As A Camping Mat

estimate: The Decemberists - The King is Dead

It seems that the musicians The Decemberists starting to gain respectability they deserve for years. "The King is Dead" - their sixth album debuted in the discography is at the top of the statement of "Top 200" U.S. "Billboard". And perhaps this success will never end because even though this time the Decembrists abandoned the concept for its natural beauty and simple, happy folk songs that came to them only for good.

Unlike the most ambitious project two years ago - an otherwise great album, "The Hazards of Love" (closing the framework of the concept of a romantic tale about the adventures of Margaret's beautiful in a mysterious forest, full of quirky characters), not on the latest publishing uświadczymy Decembrists references to progressive rock of the 70's. This time they chose a completely different direction. Was inspired by a tradition of American folk-rock (Neil Young, Paul Simon, Bob Dylan) and early REM album since his debut, "Murmur" starting. As a result of this search recorded an album about which one can say that is a great tribute, which consists of American culture that was not always the way to them because although they come from Oregon, played a raw yet permeated folk mainly Celtic influences.

Meanwhile, the material collected in "The King is Dead" has a rare lightness of the composition. Dominated by acoustic, fiddle, accordion, mandolin and harmonica extraordinary beauty, which was filled with the works of Colin Meloy - the leader of The Decemberists. Captivating melodies that soon zaskarbiają our attention. Guests appear. Alt-countrowa singer Gillian Welch Meloy vocally supports creating vocal harmonies with him on most songs. However, Peter Buck - REM guitarist played in "Down by the Water" (folk hit candidate for the year) and in "Calamity Song. " His misbehavior are also extracted from the sounds of mandolins in the opening whole "Do not Carry it All." Extensive instrumentation

harmonizes with the text layer. Subtle sounds of folk instruments, accompanied by an original texts in which Colin Meloy is playing with words. "Rox in the Box" rules-based children's counting, and lazy "June Hymn" is more like poetry than a folk song. Affirming a happy life, however, has not forgotten how to spend their time ("How I lived a childhood in snow and all my stuffed teens in tow in the loss of glow, "" When we die, will we die with our arms unbound ").

Listening ten songs contained on "The King is Dead" is a great pleasure and gives a boost of positive energy in the middle of winter. Fell in love with America as it has already seen the results of the sale and I'm not completely surprised, because they find it difficult to resist. I especially recommend the cold winter evenings. Warming up the body and spirit guaranteed.

Other Reasons Besides Herpes For Cold Sores

estimate: Destroyer - Kaputt

Kaputt - The ninth studio album has already established a project from the beginning led by Daniel Bejar. I wrote a draft, because it is a one-person initiative - Bejar himself writes lyrics and composes music and produces his records. Under the name Destroyer project lies, therefore, for one, naturally, accompanied by guests.

Kaputt In the case of vocal granted Sibel Thrasher, we hear of Blue Eyes, where a fantastic complement Bejar his clear, strong vocals. Here openly heard one of the major influences the whole album - Roxy Music, especially CD Avalon. Moreover, Bejar himself bluntly confessed that he loves Roxy Music, as well as the Brian Ferry. You can hear it on the album Kaputt perfectly. Look in vain here for defiance, indeed synthpop envelope, which was previously Destroyer strongly associated. CD is more like a dreamy tale of a film about the border unrequited love, although sometimes rubs against the influence of typical 80 - those, at least in Savage Night At The Opera, very much in the style of The Cure. However jazzpop dominates, with a very sophisticated, but omnipresent trumpet. He spins it from the beginning and interjects his "two cents" in almost every song. You can even call the whole smoothjazzowym pop.

Perhaps this is not a knock on the knee board, with big hits. But something attracted to this album: is it disrespectful, interesting voice Bejera whether the trumpet, and finally a whole is not invasive - it can all at once. I recommend.
